115W Vacuum Sealer: What Dual 3mm Seal Strips Change

Two weld lines or one is the difference between a pallet that lands intact and a return claim on 500 units. The UAH54T vacuum sealer is a 115 W external machine that lays two independent 3 mm welds in a single 30 cm cycle and pulls 35-70 kPa at 4-8 L/min. That second strip is the line on the datasheet most buyers skim past, and it is the one that decides how the bags behave three weeks into a freezer chain.
// 01 — Key takeaways
Two constant-temperature heating strips weld the bag twice in one cycle. Every unit we build ships with a 12-month warranty, direct from our own line — see the Trust Center for our certification list.
A band, not a single figure. The low end is for soft and moist product; the high end is for dense dry goods.
Seal-bar length. It sets the widest bag the machine can close in one pass.
Pump flow rate. Higher flow shortens the evacuation phase, which is what buyers feel as cycle speed.
Minimum order for the UAH54T, at $13.90 per unit on the entry tier.
Lowest published tier, at 8,000 units. Lead time is 15-30 days after sample approval and deposit, FOB China.
// 02 — Seal line
What two 3 mm heating strips change at the seal line
Two 3 mm strips give you two separate welds per cycle instead of one. If the first weld traps a crease, a fibre or a bead of marinade, the second line sits behind it on clean film. It is redundancy at the exact point where an external vacuum sealer usually fails.
Do two heating strips actually seal better?
They seal more forgivingly, which is not the same claim. A single 3 mm weld is perfectly adequate on flat, dry film. The failure mode buyers report is not a weak weld in the middle of the bar — it is a pinhole where the bag was not laid flat, or where liquid wicked into the seal zone. A second parallel weld gives that defect a second chance to be closed.
That matters most in the shipping and storage phase. A bag that looks sealed as it leaves the vacuum sealer can lose vacuum over 24 to 48 hours through a channel too small to see. On a 500-unit retail programme, that is the difference between a clean season and a returns queue.
Where a single 3 mm weld leaks first
Three places, in order of how often they show up: the bag edge where the film folds over itself, the point where a bone or a hard edge tents the film, and anywhere moisture reached the strip before the heat cycle finished. The UAH54T uses constant-temperature strips rather than a simple timed burst, which keeps the second weld at the same temperature as the first instead of running cooler at the end of a batch.
The 30 cm bar is the other half of the answer
Strip count is worthless if the bar is too short for your bag. At 30 cm the UAH54T closes standard 28 cm retail bags with margin at both ends, so the operator is not fighting to centre the film. Bags wider than the bar have to be sealed in two overlapping passes on any external vacuum sealer, and an overlap is a defect waiting to happen.
A second heating strip costs us very little on the line. It saves the buyer an argument with their own customer six weeks later, in a market we will never visit.

// 03 — Suction
Reading the 35-70 kPa suction band
The UAH54T is rated 35-70 kPa rather than a single peak figure. That range describes what the machine is asked to deliver across its modes, from a gentle pull on soft product up to a deep pull on dry goods. Treat the top of the band as a ceiling, not a promise.
Is 70 kPa enough for wet foods?
For an external sealer, yes — and more suction is often the wrong lever. Most home and light-commercial vacuum sealers sit in the 60-80 kPa range, and 70 kPa is squarely inside it. With moist product the constraint is not depth of vacuum but whether liquid reaches the seal zone before the weld closes. That is why the UAH54T carries a detachable water tray: liquid pulled out of the bag is caught rather than drawn into the pump.
What does the 35 kPa floor do?
It protects the product. A full-strength pull crushes bread, pastry, soft fruit and cooked portions before the bag ever seals. The lower end of the band lets an operator stop the evacuation while the bag is still snug rather than compressed, then trigger the weld. Buyers selling into bakery or ready-meal channels care about this more than about peak kPa.
Why 4-8 L/min matters more than peak suction
Flow rate is throughput; kPa is depth. A pump rated 4-8 L/min moves air out of a large bag faster than a fixed 4 L/min unit, so the cycle finishes sooner even though the end pressure is similar. If your end user is packing a tray of portions after a shift, cycle time is the specification they will actually notice.

// 05 — Comparison
How the UAH54T compares with our single-strip models
Our other 30 cm machines run a single 3 mm strip at a fixed 65 kPa. The UAH54T trades a little list price for the second weld and the wider suction and flow bands. Everything in the matrix below is a real catalog figure.
| Model | Power | Suction | Seal bar | Heating strips | Flow rate | List $/unit | Lowest tier $/unit |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| UAH54T | 115 W | 35-70 kPa | 30 cm | 2 × 3 mm | 4-8 L/min | $13.90 | $12.20 at 8,000 |
| UAH32G | 120 W | 65 kPa | 30 cm | 1 × 3 mm | 4 L/min | $13.00 | $12.20 at 5,000 |
| UAH58G | 120 W | 65 kPa | 30 cm | 1 × 3 mm | 4 L/min | $12.00 | $8.30 at 5,000 |
| UAH86CX | 110 W | 60 kPa | 28 cm | 1 × 3 mm | 3.3 L/min | $10.90 | $9.00 at 3,000 |
Reading the matrix
The wattage column is close to meaningless on its own here — 110 W to 120 W across four models. The columns that separate one vacuum sealer from the next are strip count, the suction band and flow rate. The UAH54T is the only one of the four that gives an operator a low-suction option and a second weld.

Where the cheaper models still win
On landed cost, plainly. The UAH32G adds built-in roll storage and six named modes at a lower list price, and the UAH86CX is the cheapest way to put a 28 cm bar on a shelf. If your programme is a promotional price point rather than a repeat-purchase line, a single strip is the honest choice.
// 06 — Buyer fit
Who should shortlist this vacuum sealer
The UAH54T suits buyers whose end user seals moist product, ships the sealed bag onward, or runs the machine many times a day. If your customer seals dry goods occasionally, a single-strip model at a lower price point serves them just as well.
Retail and private-label programmes
The touch panel and digital display photograph well and read as a step up on a shelf next to a button-and-LED vacuum sealer. The ABS body is tooled in-house, so logo, colour, panel finish, packaging and the bundled accessory pack are all open to change. Send artwork and a specification and we quote tooling, samples and per-unit pricing against it.
Butchers, delis and meal-prep operators
These are the users who find the second strip. They seal wet, they seal often, and a failed bag costs them product rather than convenience. The detachable water tray is the part they will thank you for, because it turns end-of-shift cleaning into a rinse rather than a service call.
Which markets need which plug?
The unit is rated 100-240 V, so a single SKU covers the EU, UK, North America, Australia and Japan. What changes is the cord set and the market approval you sell against — CE and RoHS for the EU, and the corresponding regional marks elsewhere. Tell us the destination at quotation and the plug is configured before the run starts.
One safety note worth passing to your end customer: vacuum packing slows spoilage, it does not replace the cold chain. Public-health guidance on reduced oxygen packaging is explicit that vacuum-packed perishables still need refrigeration at or below 41°F, because removing oxygen favours anaerobic organisms. The Oregon State seafood compendium chapter on vacuum and modified atmosphere packaging sets out the same controls for fish. Retail packaging that implies otherwise creates a liability for whoever put their brand on the box.
// 07 — Manufacturing
How we manufacture this vacuum sealer
The UAH54T is built on our own line rather than bought in and rebadged. Four stages take it from mould to carton: tooling, pump and board burn-in, seal and vacuum testing, then compliance and warranty. Each stage is where a specific failure mode gets caught.
In-house tooling & molding
The ABS housing runs from our own mould, which is why colour, finish and logo placement are open on a private-label order. Owning the tool also means a housing revision does not depend on a third party’s schedule.
Pump & PCBA burn-in
The single vacuum pump and the touch-panel board are powered and cycled before assembly. Early-life electronic failures cluster in the first hours of operation, so this is the cheapest point at which to lose a unit.
Seal-integrity & vacuum test
Quality control on a dual-strip vacuum sealer has to prove both welds, not one. Assembled units are run through a vacuum and seal cycle, and the strips are checked for even constant-temperature heating across the full 30 cm bar.
Compliance & warranty
We build to CE and RoHS for European export, with FDA and LFGB relevant to food-contact parts and ISO 9001 covering the system. Certification names only — the marks and reports issued depend on your product line and destination market. Every unit carries a 12-month warranty.
// 08 — Commercials
Pricing, MOQ and the container math
The UAH54T starts at a 500-unit minimum order at $13.90 per unit and steps down to $12.20 at 8,000. Freight, not unit price, is usually what moves the landed number, so the carton figures below matter as much as the tiers.
Catalog tiers
| Quantity | $/unit | Discount vs entry tier |
|---|---|---|
| 500 (MOQ) | $13.90 | — |
| 5,000 | $12.90 | $1.00 |
| 8,000 | $12.20 | $1.70 |
What the carton and CBM figures mean
Twelve units ship per carton at 15.2 kg gross and 0.086268 CBM. Because a vacuum sealer of this size is light for its volume, this is a cube-limited rather than a weight-limited product: you will fill the container before you reach the weight allowance. Plan the order around 3,888 units per 20 ft, 8,064 per 40 ft or 9,456 per 40 HQ.
Lead time, terms and warranty
Production runs 15 to 30 days after sample approval and deposit, scaling with volume and how much customisation the order carries. We ship FOB China with EXW and CIF available, and work on 30/70 T/T terms for wholesale buyers. The 12-month warranty applies to every unit in the run, OEM or not.
// 09 — Questions
Questions buyers ask before ordering
The six questions below are the ones that come up most often on the UAH54T, answered against its catalog record rather than in general terms.
What are the key specs of the UAH54T vacuum sealer?
Why does a vacuum sealer need two heating strips?
Is 70 kPa enough suction for moist food?
What is the MOQ, lead time and warranty?
Do you offer OEM, ODM or private-label production?
How many units fit in a container?
// 10 — Verdict
The short version for buyers
Buy the UAH54T when your end user seals moist product or ships the sealed bag onward, because the second 3 mm weld and the 35 kPa floor are what that user actually needs. Buy a single-strip model when the programme is driven by shelf price.
Everything else on this vacuum sealer — the 30 cm bar, the 100-240 V range, the ABS body, the touch panel — is shared with the rest of our 30 cm range. The strip count, the suction band and the 4-8 L/min flow rate are what you are paying the extra $0.90 of list price for. If that maps onto your customer, the maths is straightforward. If it does not, we will tell you so and quote the cheaper model instead.
